ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jiro is the founder of Kamikazi and the ex-bass player for Richie Ramone of the Ramones.

He produced Richie Ramones, “Entitled” and CJ Ramone’s, “Reconquista” and “Last Chance to Dance”.

Jiro has toured with Richie Ramone in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Australia, opening for Van Halen and Aerosmith from 2012-2013.

He is the first Japanese artist to perform at Joey Ramone’s “Birthday Bash”, along with CJ and Joey Ramone’s brother, Mickey Leigh.

In addition, Jiro unified Mickey, CJ and Elvis Ramone to collaborate on this album.

To fulfill his childhood dream to be a rock musician, Jiro came to Los Angeles at the age of 19 to immerse in LA’s punk rock scene.

He started his band, Kamikazi, in Los Angeles.

Successfully, Kamikazi’s two singles, “Look At The World” and “New Heroes”  were featured on the movie, “Lethal Weapon”, starring Mel Gibson.

The bass playing of Jiro is described as a machine gun style because of his constant use of finger picking.

His first solo album, “Return of the Kamikazi”  features rock legends, Elliot Easton of the Cars, CJ Ramone of the Ramones, Dez Cadena of Black Flag and Misfits, Nokie Edwards of the Ventures, Clem Burke A.K.A Elvis Ramone of Blondie, Steve Soto of Adolescents, etc.

This album brings back the heart and soul of rock n roll and “Run, Run, Run”, featuring song from this album had been awarded Best Pop Rock Song of March 2017 by Akademia Music Award.

His solo band had toured with CJ Ramone in Brazil and Argentina in 2015 and 2016 and ready to take off for his first European tour and South America tour with CJ Ramone in 2017.

His current line-up for his solo band is Jiro, himself, Alex Kane (ex. Markey Ramone Band, ex. Richie Ramone Band, Anti Product) on the guitar and Timothy Jimenez of the Rave-Ups on the drums.

JIRO just announced his new project band, Zipangu to take off in 2017 as well.
